Answer |
|
What
versions of Excel on the Mac are supported? |
Many
of our addins work with Excel 2004 and 2011 on the
Mac, but not Excel 2008. |
|
|
Why
can’t I use addins with Excel 2008 on the Mac? |
Microsoft
removed support for add-ins as well as other cross-platform features from
Excel 2008 on the Mac. Many Mac customers were upset by this and MS has since
added support back to Excel 2011 for the Mac. However, they never fixed Excel
2008. |

Are
you sure? |
Yes,
we are sure. |
|
|
How
could Microsoft be so stupid? |
We
don’t know. |
|
|
I’m
using Excel 2011 for the Mac. What do I need to know? |
All
of our addins that support Mac Excel will work
using Excel 2011 on the Mac. However,
the first public releases of Excel 2011 were very buggy. Be sure to get all the available patches
from MS before using our addins. |
