PositivePay file Creator for QuickBooks

Export PositivePay files from QuickBooks to submit to your bank.

Use this addin to create PositivePay files containing your un-cleared and voided checks.

This QuickBooks addin integrates directly within QuickBooks. You access it from the Banking menu and from there quickly pick the bank account you want to export, enter the information provided by your bank, and then create the PositivePay file.

 

What are PositivePay files?

PositivePay files contain a list of un-cleared checks, with their check numbers and Amounts, which you can submit to your Bank.  Once received, the bank will only honor checks in your PositivePay file.  This helps prevent fraud and endures that the banks pay the correct amount for each check you have issued, and only the checks you have issued. Many banks support a type of PositivePay file, which is often different per bank.

System Requirements

This addin works with U.S. QuickBooks 2009 – 2012 and U.S. QuickBooks Enterprise versions 9.0 – 12.0.

After installing the addin, create your PositivePay file by picking the new option from the Banking menu:

 

The PositivePay addin will launch.  Then, pick your QuickBooks bank account and the file/bank from the Bank list:

 

When you create your PositivePay file, you get a confirmation with the number of checks added to the file:

 

 

Next, upload/submit the new file to your bank according to their instructions.
